Hi All. I'm looking for any help or sample code that can show me how to make a file import wizard in ASP.NET (VB preferred) like the one that MS Access uses. I'm working on a web site where the user has the ability to upload a file (.txt or .csv). The data in the file may be comma delaminated, tab delaminated, fixed width etc (we don't know).
What I'd like to create is something like MS Access uses to import an Excel file into the...

Please provide your article reference(s) that document how to use DNF 1.1
panel controls to build a Wizard. I've seen and tried out the DNF 2.0 Wizard
Control, I don't like the current implementation, the final release will
most likely be no better, I can't wait until DNF 2.0 is released and I want
to build one myself as I really don't want to be a lame any longer than I
have to ;-)
Thanks for your comments and resource referrals...

Is there anyway to get a javascript confirm button on the wizard control so
that when a user clicks "cancel" it can prompt something like... "Are you
sure you want to cancel? Your changes will not be saved."

I posted this yesterday with a different email address. I am reposting with
my fake-address as given to me by Microsoft so that I can be guraranteed a
response from a support representative. Sorry for the repost.
I'd like to make use of the asp:Wizard control to present a step-by-step
guided experience for my user to fill out a complicated data-entry form.
I'd like to make use of two-way databinding provided by the asp:FormView
control...

I have written a VB.NET 2005 program using a MS Access database and a Datagrid control. The program works fine locally as an exe but when I come to Publish it (using the Click Once method and publishing to CD/DVD) I get a problem. The publishing Wizard works OK and produces the publication files but when I run Setup.exe I get an Unhandled Exception error "Cant find the file C:\Documents and Settings\..\Local...

my solution contains xml and text files that the application uses to
store and retrieve data. the text file were created automatically in
the bin\debug folder and the xml is in the application folder with the

and then install it, the application cannot find the files, since they
are not located in the right folder (I can put them there manually, of

I have two questions concerning publishing and installation:
1. I used the publish wizard to publish an application. The application
gets installed on the target computer in some obscure folder. My
question is: how can I control the path in which the program gets
installed?
2. When I install a new version of the program all the files in folder
of the program get deleted, including files that are not overriden by
newer versions. How can...

When I remove all paramiteres it returned data - but now it does not. Reinstall excel? Reset query in some way?
Thanks, Thom

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
