Hello all, I wrote a shell program a few years ago in VB6 that needs
to be modified. The problem I have is this:
The SysAdmin uses this shell in place of Explorer, so there is no
taskbar. When his users run PC Anywhere from the shell, and minimize
it, it minimizes to the system tray. With no task bar, there is no
system tray, so there is no way to restore the PC Anywhere window.

machine with different runtime errors.

Is there any way to check for open Explorer windows and if any are found,
tell Windows Explorer to close them. I don't want a brute force method of
killing Explorer and letting it restart. I'd prefer something a little less
drastic. I suspect what I'm going to need is some API call such as
SendMessage. Anybody have any suggestions?

Hi,
I have implemented a band object in C# thats basically an explorer
bar. THere is a very strange issue. When the bar is open and the web
page opens a new window using window.open call from JS my Explorer bar
dll gets reloaded making all the work useless that it was doing.
Any help on how i can stop bar from reloading when a new pop up window
opens from inside page ?

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is possible, but I'm looking for a way to access
another IE browser window using JavaScript (assuming the two browser
windows are running in the same instance).
The purpose of this task is so that if a user hits ctrl+n in IE, the
new window is "aware" of the other instance.

Hey everyone:)
We have a critical problem, which I can see that other people also has ran
into.
In Internet Explorer 7 it is no longer possible to do a window.close after
opening a window,
without getting a alert message that ask if u want to close the window.
This did NOT happen in Internet Explorer 6, Mozilla firefox or other
browsers.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
