Problems after converting to VS 2003

I have recently converted my VS2002 solution to VS2003. The solution consist
of a large number of VB.Net-projects and a couple of WebSetup-projects. I
have no problems building VB.Net-projects but when i build a WebSetup-project
i get the following error message:

Unable to update the dependencies of the project. The dependencies for the
object 'dotnetfxredist _x86.msm' cannot be determined.

If i create a new WebSetup-project i have no problem. I need some help
solving this, i dont want to recreate all the WebSetup-projects

I'm having a fit with a query for a range of dates. The dates are being returned from a view. The table/field that they are being selected from stores them as varchar and that same field also stores other fields from our dynamic forms. The field is called 'FormItemAnswer' and stores text, integer, date, float, etc. Anything the user can type into one of our web forms. The query looks like, select distinct from...

We have a fairly large set of ASP.NET applications running on Windows 2003 SP1 server. The entire suite of software was originally written in ASP and ran on a Win 2k server. For about the last year, we have been working toward converting everything to .NET and we are close to have it all done. In the mean time, we still have a few portions of the software running in classic ASP. Here is the problem. The ASP pages have been pretty reliable...

When I try to create a new C# Web Reference in Visual Studio 2003, I get an error message "The proxy settings on this computer are not configured correctly for web discovery. ..." This web reference is to a service on my machine - http://localhost/... - so I don't know why any proxy configuration should be necessary. Doing the same thing in Visual Studio 2002 works fine (i.e., no error about "proxy settings"). However, when I update...

I am having a tremendous amount of problems converting a current web application over to ASP.NET/VB.NET 2.0. I have managed to fix all the errors except 7 to 10 of them (depending on the mood of VS.NET 2005 when it builds).

Hi, I've built a database in XP and when trying to run it on a machine with office 2003 I get a bunch of reference and library problems. Does 2003 not include the same references and libraries that XP does? I tried converting it to 2003 on that machine, but still same problems. Thanks in advance.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
