I would like to upgrade from XP Home to Professional. However, I get the
following error message: "Setup cannot continue because the version of
Windows on your computer is newer than the version on the CD".
Ultimately, I want to upgrade so that I can install IIS for the purpose of
developeing ASP.NET applications.
Thanks in advance,
Ryan 3 4009
I don't think you can upgrade from Home to Professional.
As an alternative, you could try the WebMatrix project, it contains a local
Web server capable of running ASP.NET applications. http://www.asp.net/webmatrix/default...dex=4&tabId=46

You can upgrade from Home to Pro, but if Home has SP2 and your Pro disk is
pre SP2 then you'll have to SlipStream SP2 into a Backup of your XP Pro
disk, since you have a newer OS installed than the one you're trying to
upgrade to.
Have a google for nLite to help you SlipStream.
Note that an OEM version of XP Pro will not upgrade XP Home.

Hi everybody,
My problem seems a bit clichè but I could not work around.
Well I read lots of MSDN papers and discussions, but my problem is a bit
different from them. When I tried to run the project in debug mode (by
hitting F5) it gives an error message
"Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web
server.

Hi,
I would like to install VS 2003 on a computer with XP Home. Original
documentation says I should expect limited functionality ( no ASP.NET Web
applications or ASP.NET XML Web service ). Is this still true if Service
Pack 2 is installed?
Thanks,

When running my asp.net hosting service (asp.net without IIS), on server
2003 with IIS not installed, I get the following when trying to process a
request.
"System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL (aspnet_isapi.dll)."
Of course the dll is able to be found, it's still in the framework directory
and for grins I even put it in my service's local directory. This is apparantly
server 2003 not allowing asp.net to be run if IIS was not...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
