I had been working on a Windows GUI library (DLL) when suddenly my boss told
he wanted a static .lib version so he could give a customer a single .exe
file for the "free version".
Certain parts of my library are required to live inside a DLL.

Anyone else notice the info in KB318785 regarding 1.1 SP1 is wrong or is it
just my installs? I've installed SP1 on quite a few PCs recently, and on
every one, the version of mscorcfg.dll is still 1.1.4322.573 and still
datestamped 2/21/2003. Plenty of other files in the Framework\v1.1.4322 have
been updated to the newer version, but not that one. Nor does the "Microsoft
..NET Framework Configuration" tool in Administrative Tools. Still...

I'm having a hard time tying to build gcc 4.3.1 on Solaris using the GNU
compilers. I then decided to try to use Sun's compiler. The Sun Studio
12 compiler reports the following code, which is in the source
(gcc-4.3.1/gcc/c-common.c) of gcc 4.3.1, is a syntax error.
I'm inclined to agree, as it is like no C I have ever met.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
