We want to be able to print HTML or PDF files to a given printer from
Python in a kind of batch mode (without opening a preview window or
printer dialog for each file). The printer is on a network, but for
testing purposes I have connected it to my desktop via LPT1. I can
easily print a text file from Python using:
os.system("copy some.txt LPT1")
And as expected, using this function with "some.html" simply prints the
html source. (But...

OK, I'll assume silence means "no", so new question:
What is the current best practice for cross platform printing of PostScript
files from Python?

I tried it using rundll32.exe and process() methods in vb.net, but it is

I loop through the code that looks like this to batch a set of pdf
files.
Process command = new Process();
command.StartInfo.FileName = "AcroRd32.exe";
command.StartInfo.Arguments = "/p /h " + pdfFileName;
command.StartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = true;
command.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = false;
command.Start();

Hi,
I need to have the ability to take HTML files and print them out to a
printer (each document may have to be sent to a different printer). This
needs to be done without user interaction (i.e. some type of batch/server
process). Here is what I tried so far:
1. Automate Word within a service. Word would open the HTML file and then
print it. This seems to work consistently only when the service is running
on a workstation. It...

I've had this trouble in every language I've tried for Windows.
Apparently the problem is with the underlying controls or something..
When I loop through and use a hidden web gadget to load and summarily
print many HTML docs (say, over 5) I get them out of order, some don't
print, and some print all unformatted. It's the strangest thing I've
seen.. I've always checked to make sure the document was finished
loading before issuing the...

I need to batch print reports. I've looked at past posts about batch printing, but I don't know visual basic, so I'll need some coaching.
I have a report based on a parameter query. I have it set to take the parameter value from a form that I use to preview and print reports.
I have to repeatedly print that report using a different value each time. I want to set it up to batch print, taking the values from a list in a table.
Thanks...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
