vs.net server explorer extensions for Active Directory

I have been trying to install the Microsoft Visual Studio.net Server
Explorer Extensions for Active Directory (found at link below) and get an
error that says "Server Explorer Extensions for Active Directory can only be
run on Microsoft Visual Studio.NET.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

I HAVE Microsoft Visual Studio.net, v. 7.1, and am running windows 2000.
Anyone have an idea of what the install might be looking for that I can fix
and get this installed? Thanks.

I've just bought a new Windows Server 2003 and I am trying to move an exiting FrontPage website to this new machine. I can't get ASP pages to run. IIS 6.0 has been installed. From the snap-in, I have configured "Web Services Extensions" to allow CGI Extensions, ISAPI Extensions, Active Server Pages, FrontPage Server Extensions 2002, Internet Data Connector, Server Side Includes and WebDAV. All of this appears to be running fine.

I am developing a Web site and can't figure out how to store the project files on the Web server instead of my local hard drive. There must be a way, otherwise people wouldn't be able to collaborate on projects... but everything I can find talks about developing the site locally and then deploying it remotely -- but if other developers don't have access to my machine, how do we work together on projects? Long version:

MSDN states that this is caused by: This error appears in the Add Web Reference dialog box if you are developing on a machine that is behind a firewall and a proxy server has not been explicitly specified for Internet Explorer connections. Hi, I have two servers, both running windows 2003 and both containing the exact same properties for IIS. I have a set of asp intranet pages that are located inside the c:\inetpub\wwwroot\test folder. On one of the servers, the asp pages run fine, however on the second server the asp files are not recognised as asp pages. If you double click them,

Is there a way, with VS 2005 and FX 2.0, to read a given inbox? I need to write a 'monitor' program and my boss is convinced, as is always his first gut reaction, that we need to go buy a 3rd-party package to just read an inbox. He may be right this time, but that's not usually my first gut reaction--we've had too many good employees around here fired 'cause they spent too much money on albatross software (another soapbox, sorry). I need...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
