Offline way to find Wifi Hotspots with Microsoft applications

We've relaunched our WiFi Hotspot Directory which is accessible via
Tablets, Palms, PocketPCs and even iPods. If people want to receive
the monthly updates, they simply sign up at www.riverwalkmobile.com ,
it's free. And we don't sell or rent our subscriber list. The only
email from us subscribers receive is the monthly update.

Enjoy and share!

There are several options we are lookig at: 1. most obvious - write a windows app with local DB and synchronisation. instead of synch one can advise using offline application block and use services base architecture. 2. use existing Web app on the local PC - use local IIS, istall MSDE and use

I've developed a web based sales contact software for my company. Account managers use the software to record sales activity they've made. Recently, they've been complaining that there are times when they can't use the application, e.g. when they have no internet access, like on a plane. DUH, it's an internet based application!!! Apparently, my boss wants to take this excuse away from them. He realizes and agrees with me that...

Does anyone know of a component where a end user can import a picture and then draw out hotspots on that image but then be able to save the sizes and locations of those hotspots relative to their location and size on the image? I need the end users to be able to define these hotspots and then be able to link them to a record in a database... After they do that, they will need to be able to interact with these hotspots by clicking and right...

Background: I have copy and pasted an Excel flowchart into a Dreamweaver html page. I created a frame on the top of the page as a viewer. I created hotspot links over the flowchart items. Each hotspot link should open a new anchor link in the top frame which references a different webpage. Problem: It works fine in Firefox. When clicking on the hotspots I get the appropriate html page anchor link to reference my html page and it correctly...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
