Hi There!
I'm having a mysterious error right after I login using Forms Authentication
in my ASP.NET app. Below is the error...
Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set
to an instance of an object.
The exception throws at the code that tries to set a property (String data
type) at my Menu user control.

We have a solution with 29 projects including a main menu and 28 dlls. One of the projects (Project B) was created by copying an existing project (Project A), making changes including the assembly name, root namespace, form name, and internal code. When the new project (Project B) was added to the solution and a reference to it was attempted to be added to the main menu project (Project MainMenu), the new project (Project B) reference did not...

I reloaded a WinForms project in VStudio 2003 that has been working perfectly
fine for months. Suddenly I'm getting strange reference errors AND I can no
longer load any form in Designer view.
Yet when I start a new project, everything appears to be working fine.
What might have gone wrong and how do I resolve it?

Hello,
I'm using A97 (french version) on XP (english version).
Since this afternoon, all the Access built-in french-equivalent
function are generating a "Sub or Function not defined" error. An
exemple: IIf(1=1,"bob","joe") is ok but it's french equivalent
VraiFaux(1=1,"bob","joe") generates the error.
It's not linked to the PC since other applications with this function

Hi,
In continuation of the thread I made "perhaps a stack problem? Long
calculations - strange error?", I think I now got a "stable" error,
meaning that the error always seem to come here now (tried: visual
studio 2005 + linux/macintosh gcc)...
That's a pretty good thing. I think the error still appears using both
gcc and visual studio 2005. Everything is standard C (ANSI C ?? I don't
know the difference) - but since so many functions...

When I run a particular application I've been working on for a while, it
somehow finds a value for the Application Setting
"Test.Properties.Settings.Default.ProjectPath", but I can't see where it is
acquiring the value! I have been through all of the project's Properties,
and read through every app.config on my entire computer and can't find the
value it's getting during runtime.
Mysteriously, when I step through the application in...

In a case you have Project/Assembly A references Project/Assembly B which
References Project/Assembly C.
Let's say Project A needs be and references it directly. Unknown to A, B
needs project C's assembly but it uses C's assembly dynamically (Load
Assembly).
Even with copy Local set on all references Project A when built will get
project B's output but not project C's.
This is from what I hear due to an "enhancement" in VS2005, that...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
