Website Template for K-12 Teacher

A friend of mine teaches 5th grade and she would like to have a
website where she can post assignments and news for her students and
their parents. She would also like the students to be able to upload
assignments if possible. Is anyone aware of something like PHPNuke or
IBuySpy that I could use as a start to developing this site for her?
Also, if anyone can recommend a free host that would be great as well.

Thanks,

Brian

HI Brian

Have you looked at www.dotnetnuke.com
They also have some efforts specifically in the area of online, education.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of any Free ASP.NET web hosting, but there are
some cheaper alternatives.

If you do find free or very inexpensive ASP hosting, let us know.

I'm not sure what to call what I want, but I will describe my intent, hoping that someone will offer a resource for a ready-built solution. I sell construction products to a group of about 50 subcontractors. Some of them have their own websites, but many do not. I want to offer my clients a central site that can host sub-sites, one for each client. All will be under my domain: my-domain.com/customer1 my-domain.com/customer2 etc.

I'm going to make my own website ,but I'm not very good at design.I just wondered how some people have exactly same pattern for all the pages in their website ,I mean the right, left, bottom and top panes remain exactly the same and only the middle information is changed based on the page users go to. Is there some kind of business templates or something which I can customize and embed my ASP.NET codes into it? Thanks for yuor help. ...

I need to develop a website bearing the following in mind, - the site will have to be dymanic (i.e. the layout can change from time to time), - its a church website My initial intention was to go with frames, but I've learnt that thats just not the way to go... reasons for considering frames, - the menus and header could be maintained in a single frame (static content)

I am thinking of putting up a website and so I am looking for templates. Basically I have VS 2005 and kinda know how to use ASP.NET and C#. What I think I want is something easy to create menus. You know, so that there is a menu down the bottom that changes the menu options up on top. And the same menu is on every page (like maybe a template.) Can anyone recommend a good website template with a good menu bar? I dont mind paying as long...

What, from a high level point of view, is the difference (in Visual Studio 2005) between Website (accessed with Open Website or Create Website from the StartPage) that is an ASP.NET Website, and a Project that is created with the "ASP.NET Application" template? I see some obvious differences: the Project creates the working folder under the Visual Studio 2005\Projects directory, while the Website creates it in the Inetpub\wwwroot...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
