Hi,
I am trying to write a VB program to detect the Dial Up Networking
window in WinXP. For instance, everytime when i launch my Internet
Explorer, the default MS windows Dial Up Networking will pop up and
start dialling to my ISP.
I wanted to write a program to detect that "Dial up needs" and then
launch my own dialup application, instead of using the Windows default
DUN.

Could some one please point me in the right direction
about vb.net support for Dial-up connectors? I could not
find any documentation.
Using VB.NET I would like to search the computer for
existing Dial-up connectors, then select one of them and
use it to establish a connection to the internet,
transfer files to an ftp site and finally close the Dial-
up connector. I think I can do the ftp part but I need a
way to manage the internet...

Hello Everyone and thanks for your help in advance. I am
writing an application in Vb.Net that queries a SQL Server
database and then builds a text file for submission to a
vendor. However, the vendor requires that the file be
sent via dial-up modem. This is where I am having the
problem as I haven't got a clue as to how to do this or

My ASP.NET application must have additional functionality which isn't
typical for ordinary web use. It is:
- connecting to the other server using specified protocol (an option to
establish dialup connection also)
- scheduling some task to be done at the time (e.g. retrieve info from

Our .net application needs to open a dial up network connection to reach the
internet and send and receive emails (we use a third party component for the
email).
Using wininet.ddl and rasapi32.dll I can list the connections and connect to
a specific named connection.
If the application is launched as a windows forms application it is able to
get the connections defined in the user profile.

I have a C++ unmanaged application that controls a MODEM using the Remote
Access Service (RAS) APIs to manipulate PhoneBook entires and control the
dial-up connection. I would like to something similar from a C# application.
Do you know if there are .net classes available that provide functionality
similar to the RAS API, such as RasEnumEntries(), RasDial() etc. ?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
