Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 from Windows Update and redistributab

Running XP PRO, windows update, identifies the need to install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1, but installation fails.

Looked on TECHNET and found Microsoft >NET Framework 1.1 redistributable , and copied to my hard drive, and ran install and got the following:

Error 1935. An error occured during the installation of assembly component
{7D4B5591-4C80-42BB-B0E5-F2C0CEE02C1A}. HRESULT:-2147319761.

Searched TECHNET and found Knowledge Base articles 308096 and 839547. Installation still fails with the following:

Error 1935. An error occured during the installation of assembly component
{EB2A851A=66CC-4064-B8FA-B719D9F6D279}. HRESEULT:-2147024891.

PLEASE HELP!

I currently have installed .NET Framework 1.1 (_not_ the SDK version, though) on a Win2K PC. I am unable to apply the above-mentioned service pack via Windows Update. In the middle of the update process, Windows Installer informs that the update failed but gives no reason. I downloaded the service pack and tried to install it manually, but I have the same problem. I think that the cause of all this is that I deleted

This morning I ran Microsoft's Windows Update from http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp After hours of development, I have now discovered something horrible has happened with the .NET. The .NET Framework no longer has the Concat method in the strings class. I just posted a problem about not being able to concatenate strings to contain an apostrophe. For example,

Greetings, I'm using a relatively old release of Visual Studio .NET and am running into a compatability problem with one of my ASP .NET websites. From what I've gathered from support of the other products involved, I need to compile my site using Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll 7:0:5000:0 but it seems I am only using 7:0:3300:0. How would I update this library? Unfortunately, upgrading to a newer Visual Studio is not an option at this point....

At the bottom of the default Error page that appears when Unhandled Exceptions occur, what exactly is the difference between the "Microsoft ..Net Framework Version" and the "ASP.NET Version"? I understand that the ASP.Net version is the version of ASP.Net that the current site is running under and it can be retreived with System.Environment.Version.ToString. What exactly is the Microsoft .NET Framework Version that is displayed? It is...

It can compile .net code to native code which can run without an installed .net framework. This would remove one of the greatest disadvantages from C#. Sounds quite interesting. http://www.remotesoft.com/linker/intro.html But it`s a bit expensive. Someone already tested it? How big are the files? Normal binary file

Can the 3.5 version of .NET Framework (currently Beta 2) be installed on pre-Vista machines? Or is it Vista-only? And, why doesn't .NET Framework come pre-installed with the operating system? I think one of the main reasons people will reject such software is having to install something first. I understand it might need upgrading, but why do Windows machines come without any .NET Framework (or am I wrong about this)? It seems that...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
