Is there any method to prevent the auto scrolling of MDI container form?
Autoscroll is not working.

I have created an mdi parent form with four children. I want to disable closing the four children but allow closing the parent form. I created a FormClosing event on each form. That event tests to see who the sender is. If it is the appropriate child form the close is disabled and a message box shown. The problem is on the FormClosing event for the parent. It goes immediately to the first child form and displays the message box, then...

I have a form with a child form. In the child form there is a list of names that can grow quite large. On the parent form I want to display the first name from the child form. I set up a test box that is populated with the code =subfrm_media_review_sec_party.Form!first_name & " " & subfrm_media_review_sec_party.Form!last_name It works except that when I flip through the names it populates the parent form with the name of what ever...

I have Form1 and Form2 (which is inherited from Form1), and I created a button in Form2 that will fill up a textbox in Form1. What code would do that? I tried the simplest way: //from child form in button2 clicked event: textbox1.Text = "Hello";

Hi, I am developping a Visual C++ application. In my application, I created a Mdi parent form with a main menu. I also created a "menuItem" click to display a Mdi child form. I want in this case to display the Mdi child form in all the Mdi parent form. The problem is that the Mdi child form seems to be minized in his parent ( The Mdi parent form ). I have to use the "Maximize" icon of the mdi child form to make it displayed in all the...

Hi this is related to a previous post, hopefully just a bit clearer description o the problem. I have a parent form that opens a new form (child form) while still leaving the parent form open. Although the child form has a close button (with java script) if the user navigates the parent form to another form the child form is still open. Just wondering if there is a way to close the child form when the user navigates away with the parent...

I am building a wizard and have an issue with one sub form. Whilst all others are about 5 fields tall this one is 15 fields. My choices are either to resize the parent form ridiculously large for the other forms or resize the parent form on loading this subform. I have tried the following: Me.Parent.Form.Section(acDetail).Height = 1.4 * Me.Parent.Form.Section(acDetail).Height 'Me.Parent.Form.Section(acDetail).Repaint

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
