Moving from a text box to a combobox where the text box validate sub
sets the text box enable to false the combobox "lights up" indicating
it has focus, but the gotfocus does not fire and when I tab out of the
combobox it's validate is not performed. Also if I back tab in the
combo box it does not return to the text box but goes off to another
control on the screen. If I take out the disabling of the text box
everything is fine.

Hi All,
To plot a circle with changeable radius by moving mouse operation, I always write "pDC->SetROP2(R2_NOTXORPEN)" in Visual C++. My question is how to realize it in .Net (I'm using VS 2003). The following is a section of plotting a circle.
void TCircleMaze::PlotCircle(int m_CirNo,CDC * pDC)
{
CRect rect;
CPen * def_pen = pDC->SelectObject(&redPen);
int def_R2 = pDC->SetROP2(R2_NOTXORPEN);

Is 2005 worth the upgrade?
Some time ago, I read it was really slow. Is this true?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Also, how easy is it to upgrade from 2003 app to 2005? Does it break
everything in typical, MS "Sorry, that's your problem" style?
Thanks,
Shane

Hi!
I've got a question,
In VB6 there are drawing tools available, circle, line, ellipse etcetera that one can use to draw while designing a program....
....in vb 2005 although I am able to see these drawing tools, they're always unavailable, all the time!
Do I need to do something, add a container or something to activate them?
Please help!!!!

We are using IIS 6.0 on a Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition with
Service Pack 2. This is not a clean install of Windows Server 2003,
but it was upgraded to from Windows Server 2000.
We are having problem running ASP.NET applications on this server.
HTML pages and classic ASP pages run with no problem.
We use ASP.NET 2.0. We ran aspnet_regiis.exe -ua to remove all
versions of ASP.NET and then aspnet_regiis -i to install it many...

Maybe I'm missing something, but it doesn't look like Microsoft writes a lot
of apps in .Net (although they certainly push it for others).
What does MS write using pure .Net?
If applications like Symantec's antivirus, NeatReciepts or Franklin Covey's
PlanPlus for Windows is any guide, .Net applications are slow and clunky.
But, maybe the developers of these apps simply don't know how to write a
decent app with .Net.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
