Curious about aspx pages being blocked by ad/popup blocker

I don't know anything about making web pages, .NET, etc.

I have noticed that my Norton Internet Security (2003) ad/popup blocker is
blocking the loading of .aspx pages. The results of a Google search suggest
that .aspx pages are a feature of MS .NET (please don't flame me if I am
wrong). Is this to be expected with .aspx pages? Is there a simple
explanation for this? I am curious.

Thanks.

Hi, We have a database application that runs in a popup Internet Explorer application window. The reason for this is to isolate the casual user from the address bar and the typical IE navigation buttons. The application has a browser test page that displays an error message when a popup blocker is found and opens a popup page stating the test was successfull if there is no popup blocker.

Let me first by saying I am NOT a .net programmer, but am very skilled with ASP, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, Flash development. I've been reading through posts here about Frames vs. Master Pages and there seems to be the thought of why use Frames when you can use a Master Page? How does a Master Page only update a section without re-displaying the entire page. We have a site that has some small swf banners for lack of a better term that we...

User clicks on menu link to open popup.html 3. pageA.html checks if popup.html is already open. It is not, open

I am having a problem with the prompt message being blocked by popup blockers. (I think) I have the following javascript code on my page and some customers are having a problem with the prompt message. They get the confirm message and answer yes and then it immedietly puts up the message "Approval Process cancelled". Other customers are fine. I figure this is due to popup blockers on thier box. This is what I have tried and nothing...

Hello, My question is simple and I have not seen an answer so far having surfed the web endlessly. I run a Kids Flash Games Website: http://www.doron-zur.com Some of the games require Full Screen View. I do not expect players arriving at my Website to hit the F11 Keyboard - most of them will not do so. I want to make their life easier by writing adequate code instead which will load my Website in FULL SCREEN VIEW.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
