In the code below I receive an exception error because the target file is being used by another process. I know this to be false because the target doesn't exist. It seems like the application believes that the file is still in use by the application. My concern is that I do not think that I still have a reference to it. In the removeImage function, I remove the item from the image list and list view controls and refresh the list view control to...

Folks,
I have to design the WSDL files of a bunch of XML Web Services. But,
unfortunately, I am not very keen on writing the WSDL file line by line, and
moreover be aware of the whole standard specification in details. I will be
very happy if there is a visual tool, which can do this for me. Does anyone
know such kind of tool (if it is free, this is going to be awesome)?
Thanks in advance.

Hi all,
Using C#, I've created a simple wrapper class for using Excel. I have
Office Pro 2003 installed on my devel machine. The wrapper class works
great, reading and writing to/from Excel. To do this, I created a
reference to "Microsoft Excel 11.0 Object Library", and have a "using
Excel;" directive.
I decided to add a method for creating a TextBox using the
Shapes.AddTextBox method, which requires a

I have an A2K database that has links to 3 of my other databases
(external links) to run some reports. The coding in any of the 4 is
pretty simple.
Recently when we make a new .mde for the "main" database, the first
time we run our reports (all executed from code from a form), we get a

Hi,
JavaScript hides its memory structure.
I know that numbers, booleans, null and undefined are value types
(value is directed saved in a variable).
I want to know:
- How JavaScript distinguishes value types from reference types by
seeing the variable content?

Hi,
I am trying to hold a reference to un-managed pointer IStorage.
The client/callers will make many accesses to IStorage, but
only in-directly. For performance reasons IStorage needs to be
opened once, and a reference held by MyClass for duration of session.
1. Should I use a native class to do the native stuff?

I know that somethimes when I make changes to the tables (like adding
new fields), these changes do not always appear in the field list. If
I remove the table name from the forms record source, run my code, and
then replace the table name in the forms record source it finally
appears. I found this soultion in the news group.
This time, I changed the name of a textbox from txtMyBox to txtMYBOX.
However, when I type in Me.txtMYBOX, the...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
