I have a problem with how visual studio.net's form designer handles form
inheritance. This is what I am trying to do.. I have a base form with some
controls on it..I then create a child Form from this base form...The problem
I notice so far is that if the controls in the base form don't have the
"friend" modifier , the form designer will regenerate the intial code for
each control in the inherited form.....This is causing me headache...If i...

Hey guys, please HELP
I am going nuts with the datagrid control.
I cannot get the damn control to refresh. I am using soap to get information
from a web service. I have an XML writer output the file to a folder, and
then I read it back into the dataset using the dataset1.readxml. Up to this
point, everything works wonderfully. The query executes, the dataset gets
populated, and I get the results displayed in the datagrid.

I'm trying to get a combox in a datagridview to be displaying diffrent
filtered data each time it lands on a row. I thought of adding the follwing
code as a test. Later I would have verified that the code only executed when
entering the cell of the combobox column just so that we would not get fills
when entering every cell in a row. In any case I wrote.
Private Sub TblCompanyDataGridView_CellEnter(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e

I have an acceed db where I am passing UID (User ID) from one form to
another. I need that to do a SQL statement to select records that are
assigned to the UID. Here is my code and it works sometimes but not
all the time. For instance when I log in as user 1 and it works but
then I changed to user 2 and the first time I go in it does not work
but the second time it works. It would appear that the sql statement
is not running everytime....

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
