Hi alltogether,
I use ActivePython 2.4.1 , also the debug part from
http://ftp.activestate.com/ActivePython/etc/ and VC 6.0 unter Windows XP.
I can't figure out howto debug my c++ extension. If i compile it as
release version, I've of course no chance to set a breakpoint. If I
compile as debug I get the Error-window:

I have written a service in VB.Net. I have installed the service using InstallUtil.
I was able to start the service, but once I attach to and try to debug the service it will not step into my Timer1_Elapsed sub.
It will only step through the OnStop Sub when I stop the service. Now I have messed with the program so much it is not even stepping through this.

Hello everybody,
I'm experiencing a problem during debug with Microsoft Visual C++: wherever
I set a breakpoint (and even if I disable all breakpoints) the debugger
goes into disassembler mode, and it stops at the same line, returning a
dialog windows that says: "user breakpoint called from code at 0xXXXXXX".
The active module is NTDLL, the istruction is "int 3".
The odd thing is that if I open my code on another PC, it works fine, and...

I'm starting up the development server myself and using the "Startup Url"
property of the web project. The problem is i cannot debug. The debug
symbols are never loaded. I realize they are under the temporary internet
files folder but I have even tried using the new depoloyment addin-in but
that does not seem to work either. There is a /bin folder with the debug
symboles in there but it still does not load them up

when starting a windows service writte in vb.net, a messagebox appears:
cannot start service from the command line or a debugger. A windows
service must first be installed using installutil.exe and then startede
with the serverexpl, windows services or the NET START command.
tryed also installing with installutil: it says there is no install packs.
how can I make my service work in design mode and in normal runtime mode?

main project, however i do not know how to get into debug mode inside the
library, although break point is set. is there anywhere to enable the debug

I have a form that I am trying to debug. I set breakpoints in the click
event of a command button. When I start the application and go into Debug
Mode, and click on the command button, it does not stop at the breakpoint..

I have created a class library (.DLL) and there seems to be no way to
debug it. How do I run it in debug mode (setting break points, etc)?
Once I include it into my ASP.NET application the executable code is in
the /bin directory.
