Can't debug after loading a library into the Global Assembly Cache

I'm making a project to read custom attributes from assemblies, and in
order to read them using the assembly.getCus tomAttributes(t ype, false)
method, I have to add my custom attribute library to the GAC, along
with singing it. So I signed it and used the gacutil -i "[dll
location]" command and for the first Debug it worked great, I was able
to read my custom attribute unlike before, however every Debug attempt
afterwards I receieved the following message:

"The following module was built either with optimizations enabled or
without debug information:

C:\WINDOWS\asse mbly\GAC_MSIL\G adget\1.0.0.0_2 78c1aed5269f58c \Gadget.dll

To debug this module, change its project build configuration to Debug
mode. To suppress this message, disable the 'Warn if no user code on
launch' debugger option."

The project is in debug mode, will startup fine, but won't debug, and
breakpoints in the library that was put in the GAC aren't hit......any
suggestions?

Dear all, Now, I am using Global Assembly Cache to share assembly between server and clients. However, it seems that the server and clients use individual Global Assembly Cache. For example, the assembly is placed in U drive, I have to use the Global Assembly Cache Tool in the client PC to add the assembly to the Global Assembly Cache of the client PC manually. Should I set something in the Global Assembly Cache Tool in the client PC in...

Hello, I have this problem: I wrote some DLLs with VB.Net 2003 which I use with my programs. But I want to avoid that I have to go down to "DLL hell" and to copy all used dlls into each program directory. Does anyone have an idea how I can avoid that? Thanks in advance!

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
