So, I don't know how tricky this is, but thought I'd ask...
Here in the office there's an inventory db that was written in Access 2.0.
Nobody cared to upgrade it since its creation back in an era long gone
-only additions were made that make the SQL code look VERY chaotic -at
least to me, and I'm not exactly a connoisseur anyway.
Anyhow, I was wondering if there's an easy way to:
a. make it run under some newer version and

I am curious as to why you can't open an Access 2003 Db with Access
2000. We have a Visual Basic application which is using DAO 3.6 to
connect to the Access database. It IS able to open an 2000 and 2003 Db
because they are all in Jet 4 database format, I assume. But when
trying to open an Access 2003 Db from Access 2000 you get the
'Unrecognized database' Error. Aren't they the same database structure

Hi all,
I have 2 dev. machines, the 1st is Win 2000 with .NET 7.0 and the 2nd is XP
Pro with .NET 2003. My Web Server is Win 2000 Server with IIS 5.0.
I can create a new project on my test server from the 1st machine, but I
receive an 'HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server error" from my Web Server.
My userid/password are the same on all 3 machines.

I just started on my very first .NET application and it is for my pocket pc.
I managed to create my forms and show then when I want to, but there are two
things I cannot seem to find:
1) In eVB one can get the version info like this: CStr(app.major) + "." +
CStr(App.Minor) + " " + App.LegalCopyright

Is there a way to find out where an application was created from?
i.e. - work or home
i.e. - if application sits on a (work) server/network, the IT people know the
application is sitting there, but is there a way they can find out if that
application was put there from a CD or email or created at work?
Hint: It's not on a client/server database, just native jet database mdb
created on Access 2003 (default 2000)...

I've converted my application from A2K format to A2003 format.
I tried to follow Allen Browne's protocol in getting my app into A2003
(although I was unable to find informtion on the conversion process). Lots
of decompiling and lots of compacting of the original application in A2000.
Then the app was opened in A2003 and compacted, decompiled and compacted.
