I am using Access 97 and have had a problem joining a main form and a subform. I have a main form and a subform. The data source on the main form is a SELECT statement referring to three tables. The subform's data source is a table. When I try to link the Child and Master fields, I get the message "Can't build a link between unbound forms." I have tried typing in the common fields and it still does not work.

We have multiple databases created with forms in them. I want to create a master form that can link to any of the other database forms. If you have all of the tables and forms, ect., in one database, you can macro or wizard to them. How can I put a command button in for each form, with the master form linking to other databases forms?

I have a unbound form with a tab control with four tabs in an Access 97 database. On each tab I have a sub form each form on the sub forms is bound to its own table. Each table has a field that can link them all together. I have put an invisible unbound control on the master form that gets populated on open. I set the link child and link master of each sub form to the unbound control on the master form. When the form opens all the subforms...

(I'm new to VS, so please forgive me if this is a faq.) I'm writing some Java web services and need to test them with C++ clients. I can use either a Windows Form application or an MFC application. I used VS.NET 2003 to create a C# client that successfully processes SOAP messages to and from the Java service. However, I'm having problems with the C++ client. I created a new solution and a new project with File > New > Visual C++ Projects...

How do you send a browser to a link when a command is given? I've tried using Java Server Pages <jsp:forward /command but that doesn't change the link in the address bar and some other problems arise with it. A javascript method would work in what I'm doing but I don't know what that command would be. Basically, when a button is pressed I want some session data to be set and for a link to be followed. Any ideas?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
