Hi,
I have a class can be use by either Web Application or

the application root. I know I can use
System.web.HttpContext.Current.Request.PhysicalApplicationP
ath to get the Application Path for Web Application, But

Hi everyone,
This is probably a pretty stupid question but does anyone know if its
possible to use relative addressing when it comes to accessing an image of
the file system?
In particular, I am making a simple application that needs to load a
treeview with icons. The icons are stored in a folder called icons under the
application's directory. (The folder exists in the same dir as the bin
folder and the debug folder)

I just realized that the code I inherited is using all asp.net server
controls (ie. webform controls) and when I try to update textboxes on the
client side, I lose the new value of the textbox when submitting the form to
update the database. The server doesn't have the client side value any more.

Hi:
Is it possible for me to create/open web application from remote machine
other than port 80? And create application directly under virtual web site
instead of creating a virtual directory?
Because there is a developing server in our company running IIS with
multiple web sites, each one has its own port number. In real scenario, no
applications will run under virtual directory, but directly under a site.

Hello,
I am trying to use vs.net 2005 to migrate a project originally in vs.net
2003. I started with creation of a "web site", and then created folders for
each component of the site.
I read somewhere that each folder under the "web site" is compiled in
separate assembly. I however, did not find that the "web site" creation in
vs.net 2005 created any AssemblyInfo.cs file.

There is one more problem I am facing but didn't get the solution. In my
Setup Program I am not been able to create 2 things (when the program is
intalled on the client machine ) : (1) create shortcut to my program/utility
(2) Entry in Windows' Start --> Program Menu.
Actually in my VB.Net solution I have two projects (1) MYPROGRAM (2)
MYPROGRAM_INSTALLER. MYPROGRAM is a "Windows Application".
MYPROGRAM_INSTALLER is a "SetUp Wizard"...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
