I want to copy certain tables from server to server b.
How do I make it fastly and efficiently with PHP?
I wrote below my current start, but it may not be the best approach.

Hi,
I am willing to setup my MySQL tables so they can hold international
strings (English, French, German and Spanish). I understand that
Unicode character coding is a good candidate to do so.
Currently I use the default character set and it looks like it does
not like characters such as "é", "ô" .etc... (they come up as strange
characters probably indicating that the code of the character has been
truncated).
Is my understanding...

I am looking for an example of php code that accesses a mysql table
using SSL (php v4.3.10). I have php code on serverA and some mysql
tables on serverB (located on the other side of the internet ;-) to
serverA). I want to retrieve data in the php script on serverA using
normal selects etc over a ssl connection from serverB. Any help would
be great. Cheers.

To anyone that can help
I have 2 MySQL databases that contain large amounts of tables. I need
to be able to compare the data in the tables with older/newer versions
of the tables. I figured the easiest way would be to get the info in
csv format and then run a comparison. I can get all the data using
MySQL front, but this has to be done tabe-by-table, and is too time
consuming.
I am new to Python and also new to programming.

I have an Oracle 10g R2 database where my ERP transactions reside. I'm using MS Access to grant access to my power users where I use MS Access' Link Tables to provide direct access.
I noticed that not all tables in all schema in the database is retrieved by MS Access even if SYSTEM is used to login. It looks like there's an upper limit to the number of tables that's retrieved by MS Access. We need to access all tables in te database. This was...

My company's web application uses mySQL databases. I have linked these tables (Read only) into Access 2007 so I can create queries and reports.
Now I need to extract some of the content from these linked tables so that I may do a mail merge into Word. Unfortunately, I find that many of the fields are being truncated.
I tried importing the tables and still find the fields are truncated. So neither importing or linking is bringing in the...

Hi All,
I tried to access the mysql database in ODBC using ip address and
username/password.
It returns, "cannot connect to MySQL server on IP ADDRESS(10060)".
This could be related to Firewall on the server.
Is there anyway to access MySQL database using ODBC without opening
port 3306?

Hi there,
I have a question regarding locking of tables so that when two or more people try to write or update the mysql tables, it locks up. Basically I only want one person to write to the file, but many are able to read the files (or tables entities).
I am not sure if I need to lock the tables in my Java code or do I lock the tables within the MySQL syntax. I'm just a little confused on the matter.
This java code is a working...

I recently started a co-op/internship at a company and they are
looking to migrate a large legacy supported application from OLEDB to
SQL Server. I'm doing prelim work in experimenting with the options
available. The application is huge (1+ million lines of C++ code), so
it'd be quite a bit of man hours to adapt all the database code for
SQL Server. I stumbled upon linked tables in an OLEDB file to an ODBC
source (such as SQL Server) and...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
