If I have an MySQL database on my local w2k, how do I transfer it onto my
ISP server?
The ISP gave me the name of an empty MySQL database they set up for me, the
username and the password with no further explanations.
I came here from ASP/Access where I was just uploading a mdb file into my
webspace.
But with MySQL there should be a different procedure, should it not?

Hi there
i get this error when i try to remotely connect to my mysql server, it
has been working until i changed the server's ip and isp, when i
re-change the mysql server to the old ip address (first isp), it's
working again .
i'm under linux 8 and mysql 4.0.13
Does anybody knows how i can fix this ?

I would like to import the tables from MySQL database into Access
database and I am not sure how to go about it. I tired to "Import
External Data" from Access, selected "ODBC database" from file type
dropdown, selected "New data source" and picked SQL Server from the
list. I specified the server name (mydomain.com) along with user id
and password. But when I clicked on "Next", I got: "connection failed:

I have a database of kennels. One page lists the kennels
alphabetically by kennel name.
I have a field for kennel name and an index with kennel name as
the only field.
Some of the kennels have the word "The" as the first word in the
name and they do not want to be listed alphabetically by "The..."

Sometimes it's easier to use the client than go thru php, but
since it's only about 80 characters wide that limits its usefulness.
