I am trying to use php as a kind of servlet to act as a middle man
between a java applet and mysql. I know java has jdbc but it's flakey
and painful. php access to mysql is much nicer. So I have:
1. An html page that holds the applet.
2. a php page that accepts data submitted to it by the applet via the
$_POST array and writes it to the mysql database. This page never
makes it to the browser window.
3. a simple Thank you page that shows...

My client has an MS Access database application on her local machine. I have
full access to that in terms of changing the design.
I've got a simple PHP/MySql application on shared hosting, so no direct
access to the db server.
I'd like to give her the facility to export the information in her local
Access application to the shared PHP/MySql site. From one command button (or
similar) in the Access application.

Hi,
I am trying to connect to a MySQL database, using the .Net framework.
I installed the newest MyODCB (3.51) and the .Net ODBC drivers from
Microsoft.
I made a System DSN using the driver, and i get it to connect - so far
so good.

I am using the MySQL ODBC 3.51 driver to link three relatively small MySQL
tables to a Microsoft Access 2003 database. I am finding that the data from
the MySQL tables takes a hell of a long time to load making any kind linkage
with my Access data virtually useless.
I have the MySQL driver setup in as a USER DSN. The MySQL data is sitting
out on a server and the Access database is running locally. The network
connection is very...

At this moment I use MsAccess and i can build about every databound
application i want. Who knows about a serious open source alternative?
Because Windows will be a client platform for some time, i prefer a
solution that (also) supports Windows.
On the net I found a number of products that i looked at, but none of
them gave me the impression of a serious candidate at this moment
(KNoda, Gnome DB Manager, InterBase...).

I am looking at using MySQL in my application (currently works with Access
and SQL Server 2000).
Is it possible to access MySQL database using ADO?
What is the connection string for this?
Also, it is possible to change/modify the table structure/create new
tables/indexes via Visual basic codes?

Hello everyone,
This is my first attempt at getting help in this manner. Please
forgive me if this is an inappropriate request.
I suddenly find myself in urgent need of instruction on how to
communicate with a MySQL database table on a web server, from inside
of my company's Access-VBA application. I know VBA pretty well but
have never before needed to do this HTTP/XML/MySQL type functions.

I need to Connect to an online mySQL database from Access using JET
ODBC with no saved DSN.
Anyone out there who as made this work and can give example of how
it's done? I've seen lots of posts saying it's possible, but no code.
This has to be Jet ODBC, because the users are technophobes and I
wouldnt expect them to download and install a myODBC driver - or
create a working DSN for that matter. My visiting the sites and
configuring...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
