Does anyone know how to count how many rows are in a mysql table? This is
what I have, but it doesn't work right:
<?
$db = mysql_connect("localhost", "username", "password");
mysql_select_db("database",$db);
$sql = "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM table";
$result = mysql_query($sql);
echo "$result";
?>

Can someone point me to getting the total number of inserts and updates on a table
over a period of time?
I just want to measure the insert and update activity on the tables.
Thanks.

In my MYISAM table I have an index (Index_A) on 2 fields (Field_A,
Field_B). There are millions of rows in the table. The cardinality of
Index_A is 53. I think a query to count the number of rows that match
a pair of values for Field_A and Field_B should execute blindingly fast
(in the index count the number of leaf nodes for the B-Tree node
representing the indexed pair of values).
My query looks like:
SELECT count(*) FROM `table_A`...

Hi
Suppose we have an array of DataRows e.g.
Dim drMyRows() As DataRow = myTable.Rows(0).GetChildRows("PricesCompany")
generated via a relationship.
The question I have is this. Isn't this in essence a table i.e. a collection
of rows? The reason I ask is that I wanted to extract from the array of rows

Hi,
Please consider the following class (it's not really my class, but it's
a good example for my question):
class Vector {
int myN;
double *myX;
Vector(int n) : myN(n), myX(new double) { }
double &operator()(int i) { return myX; }

I need to implement reference counting in a class hierarch,
in a thread safe manner. (The classes are umanaged but I
might want to compile them with the /clr option.)
Some of the objects - atoms - are registered in a global hash
table - let's call it an atom table. When an atom refernce
count reaches zero, the atom is removed from the table.
The catch is, after an atom has been counted down, another
thread might find it in the atom...

Hi
I need to write a script that will allow me to check the value of any link in a table cell. The desired result would be something like this: row.cell.innerHTML, allowing me to call the contents of the fourth cell in the first row.
The following script may be of use as a starting point:
<table id="table">
<tr>
<td><a href="#">hello1</a></td>
<td><a href="#">hello2</a></td>

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
