I seem to have replication set up correctly to only replicate one
database named vmail.*
Except when I try to update a table in vmail.* the changes do not
replicate to the slave. Authentication works fine. Binary logging
(log-bin) is enabled on both.
I have a feeling about one thing that might be wrong - "Binlog_do_db"
on the master server is empty when it should be "vmail".

My application uses VB6 WebClasses to handle the UI, so all requests come in
via a stub ASP page.
I would like to know the time taken for the request to be processed. I am
trying to use the time-taken value in the IIS log files by I am unclear as to
the precise meaning of the value recorded.
Using a test WebClass on a development PC (Win2K Pro/SP4) the value recorded
in the IIS log files seems to vary:

I am trying to turn a short and fat (63 columns) table into one that is tall
and skinny (7 columns). Basically, I am trying to create a "reverse
crosstab" using a looping structure in VBA along with SQL. I'd like to take
the name of the column and input it into a descritor field.
This isn't the table, but will serve as a better illustration than the real
deal.
If the table looks like this:

This is for a Win form, in C# 2005.
I want to load a datagrid, make some columns width 0, and then clean out the
record I added.
I get the error message, ""Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and
less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index""
I have tried, -1,0,1,2 for the index, and I get the same error message on
each try.

I have a data grid control taht contains a data bound coulmn called "Type".
Depending on the value of "Type" I want to display a corresponding image in
the rendered table cell. So, if the value of type is 1, I want to show
image1.gif. If the value is 2, I want to show image2.gif. Is there an easy
way to do this?

I've got a very simple query ("SELECT a,b,c FROM mytable WHERE d=foo
AND e=bar"; d and e are part of the primary key) that I'm executing
tens of thousands of times in a particular application. The primary key
is too big to fit in the key cache (it's about 64G, the table is really
huge). I've noticed when I do a SHOW PROCESSLIST that the query is
spending most of its time in 'statistics'. What can I do to reduce the
time that this query...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
