I don't know if this is really a Python question of a MySQL question, but i am hopen that there is enough overlap that someone can help me ;-) I have a unit test suite for our server that loads a clean database image for many of the tests. I use p = os.popen('mysql -u uid -ppassword mydatabase', 'w') p.write(sql_commands) to load the database.

I have a query that seems to kill the db for our website (causes the 'Too many connections' error). I would like to avoid this! Is there a way to test the query before the db goes down? I do not have access to a staging environment. I can access the db via Linux command line, or phpMyAdmin - however I can only select, update, and delete. I've heard a user can identify a bad query and kill it, how is this done? Would my user have...

Hello, On my LAMP webserver, I noticed that sometimes the MySQL daemon uses 99.99% of the CPU, and does not answer SQL queries, while several minutes. Does someone know what could be the causes ? I searched on MySQL.com forums, and I found answers about query cache, but this is not enabled on my server. I looked the process list (SHOW FULL PROCESSLIST) :

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
