I *tried* googling on this topic but could not create a query that would
get me what I am looking for.
Does anyone know of an Open Source survey/questionnaire system? Like a
CMS, but for surveys.
Look at http://www.surveymonkey.com to see the kind of thing I am talking
about.
Something made with PHP would be nice (this *is* a PHP ng) but any

Dear MySQL Contributors,
I am studying for a Master's degree with Henley Management College in
the UK, and in the past have used a variety of Open Source Software.
As part of my course I am conducting a survey in an attempt to identify
the critical success factors for Open Source projects. If you are a user
or developer for MySQL, I would be very grateful if you could spare
2 or 3 minutes to fill in my questionnaire at the following...

Hi everyone,
Sorry to fill up this newsgroup with this request, but for coursework at
Erasmus University (the Netherlands) I need to conduct a survey
regarding the use of certain open source projects and I'm therefore
looking for some volunteers to participate in this survey. The survey is
located at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=42670815560 or
alternatively at http://tinyurl.com/3stvu. I'm aware of the (self)
selection bias...

Dear all,
We are Chen, Kian Siong and Goh, Yong Kwang from the National
University of Singapore (NUS), School of Computing performing academic
research for our honours year thesis. Our current research covers open
source projects, its communities, developers and users.
In our study, we hope to be able to solicit the objective opinions of
MySQL users and developers to provide support for proposed theories in
our study through a survey.

We like to invite you to a survey about the working conditions in
Free/Open-Source Software development. This survey is conducted by the
Open-Source Research Group of the University of Würzburg (Germany).
We will compare work design in open source and proprietary software
development. Our findings should be used to adjust the working
conditions of software development to the needs of the developers. The
results will be published under...

Hi,
I am a student studying Business IT Systems (MSc) at the University of
Strathclyde in Scotland.
For my masters dissertation I am investigating the relationship between
commercial companies and the open source community.
The project examines the issues, motivations and critical success
factors in this collaborative relationship.

I'm looking for a open source PHP voting system. I found many open
source and commercial php survey/vote programs on hotscripts.com, such
as phpsurveyor, phpESP. They all work the same way, admin construct a
survey, and users vote.
I'm looking for a voting system with out-of-box feature, which makes
user register himself and create a rating of certain product, and
visitors can vote. Just like epinions.com.
Is there anything like that...

Are you a programmer? Have you ever had to search for open source code?
We are surveying programmers on how they search for open source
software on the web, as part of our project at the University of
California, Irvine. We're looking for fairly basic information, such as
what tools you use and what types of source code you look for. Our
research project aims at improving open source code search engines,
based on features programmers...

If you are involved in the development of scientific computing
software, you are invited to participate in a survey on developing
this kind of software. If you have already received this request, I
apologize for the cross-posting, but I am attempting to advertise to
as many developers as possible.
I would appreciate it if you could take 20-30 minutes to complete this
questionnaire. If you know others involved in the development of...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
