mysql-test-run failure

Content-type: text/plain; charset="ISO-8859-1"

Hello. Thought I=B9d pass this along to whoever cares.

Issue:
error running the mysql-test-run as logged
Installing Test Databases
Removing Stale Files
Installing Master Databases
mysqld is missing - looked in ../bin
Error: Could not install master test DBs

Any suggestions?

Details:
I installed the package =B3Complete MySQL=B2 (MySQL dist.4.0.13) on a Mac OS X
10.2.6 box (PowerBookG3-400Mhz, 768MB) along with the ODBC and JDBC drivers=
..
Initialized and set root password. I=B9ve confirmed that MySQL is installed
at /Library/MySQL and running, my ecommerce solution (oscommerce.org ) works
fine, and I can confirm the ../bin folder is located up one level at
=B3../bin=B2 from the working directory =B3/Library/MySQL/mysql-test=B2.

So everything works except the mysql-test-run.

I am a relative newbie to MySQL. I had a Postfix+Courier+MySQL mail server running for several months. It took me a week or so to get it up and running in September. Now, I did a clean upgrade to Mandrake 9.2 and am reinstalling everything. This thing is kicking my ass and I can't seem to get past it. I could really use some help if anybody has any. Just for reference, this was my primary source for information on installation and...

I really need some help with this. MySQL will not start on boot despite everything I've done to make sure that it is set to do so. When I start it as root from a terminal with "/usr/bin/mysqld_safe --skip-grant-tables &" I show several mysqld procs. and one mysqld_safe, but I can't connect: # ps -aux| grep mysql Warning: bad syntax, perhaps a bogus '-'? Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
