I'm not exactly sure how to even ask the question, and I know my terminology
is not good as I'm a SQL beginner, but, here goes.
I need to find a way to make an if statement within an array...or, the
"while" portion of a recordset.
The best way I can ask is show what I mean.

If you go there and select an award (like Best Picture), leave the year
field alone, and select YES and submit,...

I would like to "emulate" that function in PHP. I know that MySQL AES algorithm

Hi,
I did some googling, and found that there doesn't seem to be a pure
python MySQL communication module. There is one for perl however,
Net::MySQL. I was wondering if there was a specific reason why something
similar hasn't been implemented in Python, a limitation of the language
or libraries perhaps? I briefly scanned through the perl source for
Net::MySQL, and there doesn't seem to be anything that couldn't be done
in Python, but...

Hi,
I have cases where I connect to the web site and MySQL is not working
:
Message : "Too many connection errors", Unblock with 'mysqladmin
flush-hosts'.
What I did is a script that check out /etc/init.d/mysqld status and if
is not running, then, I restart MySQL.

Hello,
When I do a "AND" in a SQL query, eg. SELECT NAME WHERE SEX="male" AND
AGE= "30", MySQL does a sub-search, right? i.e. it does the "WHERE
SEX=male" first, and then searches through the list of *those* results
to see if AGE=30?
Does it do this from left to right? i.e. in the query above, would the
table always, and necessarily, get searched for "SEX=male" first, and
"AGE=30" second?

Is there a way to generate a MySQL WHERE clause from a search string
like this:
"(dave OR hansen) php programmer"
I would want to use the generated MySQL clause against a "memo" type
field.
I searched but apparently I'm not using the right keywords.

Hello!
I have problem:
I have IPB forum installed. After search in IPB (search takes about 3-4
seconds for post table about 300 000 records) mysql shows "Sending
Data"
status and takes about 3-5 minutes.
I tested with PHP 5.2, PHP 4.4, PHP 4.2.3 - with same results.
I switched from MySQL 4.2.18 to 4.2.21 and 4.2.22 with same result.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
