this may seem odd but as someone who travels A LOT I need a really portable
development device for .NET -
I know .NET will run on pocket pc, what about development tools ?
Is there anything available between a laptop and a pda - ? Laptops are
overkill with really bad battery life!
thanks

Hi,
I'm in need of a program that extracts the semantic structure of HTML
pages -- a program that groups paragraphs with the corresponding
headings etc. I know it's not too difficult to extract well structured
documents, e.g. formal essays. However, with complicated sites like CNN
and CNet, where many tables are used to align text, to me it'd become
extremely difficult. Does anyone know of any existing applications? If
not, should it be...

On a page I am working on which has three graphic buttons, there is a small
line between two of the buttons which links to the same page as one of the
buttons. I have no idea how this line got in there and would appreciate
anyone checking it out for a clue that I may be missing. The page is at
http://www.ultimateinsurancejobs.com/test2/login1.asp The line is between
the Register and Lost Password buttons, and links to the same page as the...

In his book "CSS: The Definitive Guide" 2nd edition (pgs. 116-117), Eric
Meyer has an interesting discussion about "font-size-adjust" that was
evidently dropped in CSS 2.1 due to browser non-support. I'm wondering
if there's some way I could still get a primitive version of this
functionality, because different fonts display at very different optical
sizes for the same nominal sizes.
For example, suppose I want type to display in...

Hi,
When I try to execute a program called cnet I get an error like:
$ cnet -s -m 1 STOPANDWAIT
cnet: error while loading shared libraries: libelf.so.0: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory
I think that means that the runtime loader can't find a file to link with
the cnet program. I do have the file libelf.so.0 in /usr/local/lib, but I've

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
