mobile redirect

3 New Member
I was wondering what the best way to redirect a web page to a mobile page is. I know a little Javascript, so that would be the easiest. But I would be okay with php, I guess, I just have no idea how to put it on a page. Also in php could I have a separate file, like Javascript, where you can have a .js file?

Thanks for helping!

I have a mobile web application running on a server at work. There is a strange thing happening though: 1) I can access and login to my mobile web app from any internet browser. (good thing). 2) I can access and login to my mobile web app from any Palm Treo web browser. (good thing). 3) When I use a regular mobile phone (samsung/motorola...etc) and load up my website on the browser, it takes me to the login page. Now, when I enter my...

Hi, I'm currently in the process of constructing a stripped down version of the company website that will be show to people logging in from a mobile device. When the user logs in to the homepage, he or she is directed to the homepage default.aspx, where they can login. As part of the Page_Load of this page, I added a check if the Request.Browser.IsMobileDevice, and in that case redirected to the custom mobile login page:...

I've come across numerous mobile phones with which ASP.NET pages can be accessed on the Internet. Then why has Microsoft developed a separate programming model to create ASP.NET apps for mobile devices when regular ASP.NET pages can be accessed from mobile devices? Ron

Hi; This is for a website that is just html pages, no ASP.NET. I want the default page to be a different page if it's a mobile device. I can do this in ASP.NET by looking at the browser size and redirecting. But is there a way in IIS to point it to different page(s) for mobile devices? thanks - dave

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
