best mobile maps for winmobile 6 SDK?

31 New Member
I'm doing some geolocative work and do not, as of yet, have a map that I'm using in winmobile 6 SDK. I'd like to sync a map with some points up in the winmobile app. I'm wondering who knows where I should start, what map SDK to use, and if there's any particular pitfalls to avoid, points to consider, etc.

Thanks a lot!

Trimble do some geocode stuff with MAPs, but they are limited to trimble device and are v.expensive. Are you looking to show the map on the device or on a PC after data has been uploaded?

Google maps for the PC allows you to pass log/lat values in a URL and view that on the device, however I don't know how much of that functionality is going to be available on the mobile.

I was looking to be able to grasp a map on the mobile itself. It doesn't have to be dynamic, necessarily. I could settle for the map being a downloaded jpg or something to that effect.

Well then you would need to know which positions on the map lines up to what Longitude and what latitude.

The current code is 100 lines (exactly). You may have some good ideas and try adding it to...

I have a problem. I created a dataset in visual studio 2005 which use tables of SQL Server Mobile. When I create insert query in the relative TableAdapter, the dataset designer maps the type numeric of SQL Server Mobile as "Object" and not "Decimal". The result of this is that when the debug starts there's an exception because the mapping...

Apple just threw a massive blow to the world of Windows Mobile or any Mobile Hardware/OS company with the launch of iPhone2.0 and the developer SDK. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. For...
