I just realized that the code I inherited is using all asp.net server
controls (ie. webform controls) and when I try to update textboxes on the
client side, I lose the new value of the textbox when submitting the form to
update the database. The server doesn't have the client side value any more.
It seems to me that as I begin to write the client side javacript code for
form validation and client side editing capabilities in order to save...

Folks,
I have a form that has several TextBoxes, some of which have the TextMode set to MultiLine. Each is pre-loaded with data from a database. The user is allowed to modify each entry.
The problem is that only the modified data from the SingleLine TextBoxes are returned. The original data are returned for the MultiLine TextBoxes. Also, if the page is sent to the server (for validation, for instance), only the modified data for the...

I have a userform which contains a textbox (System.Windows.forms.textbox)
with multiline set to True. This box contains a certain number of characters
which reach below the bottom of the box. During runtime of my program I add
text at the end of the contents of the textbox. I want to display the last
lines of the box at all times.
However, the textbox always displays the first x characters.
Can I scroll down to the end of the content of...

Hi,
Using this Multiline
Combobox(http://www.vbcity.com/forums/faq.asp?fid=15&cat=ListBox%2FComboBox#TID58434),
doesn't allow the user to type multi line text in the texbox-part of the
combobox. Does anybody has any idea how to achieve this? What should I
override to draw a multiline-textbox instead oth the default textbox?
Thanks a lot in advance,

Hi,
I am working on my first Mobile.Net application and I have run into a problem that I cannot solve. I need to allow the user to input large (eg. short email message length). The problem is the only input I have discovered is the Textbox and I have not been able to find a way to adjust the height of the box. Is there a textarea equivilent or are my users stuck with a one line input for long messages?
Thanks in advance!

I have read a lot about getting lines from a multiline textbox in VB.Net.
However, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to write to a multiline
textbox. Basically, I have created an array of strings which I want to
"paste" into a multiline textbox. Any ideas?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
