RE: Connection from phone-modem to apache tomcat

1 New Member
Hi,

I am required to use nokia 6230i phone as a modem to a cable modem to access to the internet. I can only used USB port for the phone to act as a modem instead of using serial port since it is used for PLC board.

The computer has read the phone as the modem using nokia PC suite. Now, the problem is hw to connect the phone-modem to the Apache Tomcat application in the computer?

Thx in advance.

I'm having trouble finding example code to detect the presence of an Internet connection. It doesn't seem to be a very frequently asked question, as all I need is the answer yes or no (is the user connected or not). I'm not interested in speed detection or any other aspect of the connection, just its existence or not. The reason is to be able to intercept link clicks on a CD-based set of HTML pages and pop up a warning if there is no...

I have a client data base with 3500 names and phone numbers. When a client phones in, is there some software connection that would bring up that clients file automaticly. Thanks, Jed -- Message posted via AccessMonster.com http://www.accessmonster.com/Uwe/Forums.aspx/databases-ms-access/200610/1

If from withing one program I want to access multiple databases on a sql server do I need to make multiple connections? The connection string says initial catalog. I'd assume I could denote the database/catalog in the query but I'm not sure the notation to use.

Hi, I'm trying to use an asp page to send data from a basic HTML form to an Access database. I'm using GoDaddy hosting (which apparently many people have issues with when it comes to this) and here are my files: form_ac.asp: <% ' Declaring variables Dim firstname, lastname, company, phone, email, data_source, con, SQLINSERT ' A Function to check if some field entered by user is empty Function ChkString(string)

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
