web.config on Mac Safari

1 New Member
Not sure if anyone can hep me but I have no idea what to do about this!! When I am trying to log into a site that I am using it comes up with the following error message:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors > tag within a "web.config " configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors > tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

I do not know what to do!! Its on the safari browser on my mac - it has just been happening over the past few days. Any solutions?

Thanks, Claire

I have also been getting this. I am not able to log in to My myspace site. I am getting the exact same thing. It is such a pain because I am a musician and I list information on that site. Please let me know if anyone gives you a remedy for this situation!

What worked for me: go to>> Safari>Preferen ces>Security>Sh ow Cookies. Next, find the "MySpace" group in the "Show Cookies" list (list should be in A-Z order). Finally, Delete those cookies. I deleted everything ".myspace", but i won't say that is the best thing for everybody. So far so good for me, hope it's the same for you.

Leave a post if deleting the cookies did or didn't help, or if anything got screwed up.

I've had this problem repeatedly with comcast website, and here's how I fixed it. I did try to do the " Safari>Preferen ces>Security>Sh ow Cookies", but could not locate it.

So I went to Safari>Preferen ces>Privacy>Cookies and other website data: REMOVE ALL WEBSITE DATA, then click on "DETAILS", and remove the Cookies on the specific offending website only. After doing this, I was once again able to access Comcast website.

Has anyone figured out how to get rid of the "doPostback" Javascript errors on Safari. I have a simple page with one gridview. When a row is selected, Safari hangs and the Javascript console reports an "invalid return type on doPostback". All I'm doing is running a standard select call (nothing fancy). I've tried disabling viewstates for both the page and gridview. I've also tried renaming the form (someone said Javascript may not...

Hi I'm using several Sessions in my app. When the user has cookies enabled in their browser, everything works fine. But with cookies disabled, only IE seems to remember the sessions. In Firefox and Safari, the session values seem to be "forgotten". I've looked around on Google but can't find any solutions to this problem. Plus I don't know how debug with Firefox (eg. step through the code).

I'm having some serious difficulties with my ASP.Net 2.0 app rendering in Safari 2.0.3. The most immediate problem is that the menu control doesn't seem to work at all, particularly the use of dynamic levels. I've Googled around a bit and determined that the problem is not so much with Safari as it is with ASP.Net inaccurately determining the browser capabilites for that browser. In the 2.0 Framework it appears that browser caps are...

Hi, Having serious problems with the Safari Mac browser, specifically with certain of the new webcontrols e.g. <asp:Menu> which doesn't render at all - it shows "Expand" sections between each of the static menu items etc. Apparently, this only happens with the <asp:Menu has dynamic controls... Found this site: http://www.eggheadcafe.com/forumarchives/netframeworkaspnetwebcontrols/jul2005/post23263010.asp which suggests adding a...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
