I have a problem with using some client side and server side scripting
together in an ASP. I'm using VBScript.
What I'm trying to achieve is this -
- Page loads up and some server side vbscript reads the database and
populates a listbox on the page with the first field from each record

I have been working on an ActiveX control in C#. It is packaged in a Windows Control library and the code is in a user control. The control is used as an automation receiver that is used to update a page dynamically through the use of event listeners in javascript
That works, the problem is that when I run the test webpage that runs the ActiveX control, the socket does not start listening for about a minute and a half, after which it runs fine....

This has had me confuzzeled for a while now, I've read countless threads on
such errors and it seems to be down to the way things are set out and
loaded. Can anyone suggest why this code throws up the null or not object
error ? The crazy thing is it all actually works fine aswell.....

I implemented a simple class inherited from Page to create a page
template. It simply wraps some trivial html around the inherited page,
and puts the inherited page into a form.
The problem I have run into is that the emitted html at the end of the
process is slightly different and doesn't work.
Please don't be put off by all the source code. All the guts are in this
first base class, and it doesn't do much. The rest is trivial...

I've updated my test server to handle if-modified-since. I've noticed
that the (old copies I run of) IE and Netscape seem never to send
if-modified-since. But the strange thing is that Opera sends
if-modified-since but when I reply with "HTTP/1.0 304 Not Modified" it
is not refreshing the screen from its cache, it is leaving the screen
blank.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
