Need to pass Unix variable to oracle query and return value back to shell script

I need to get input from user and search in the database in shell scrpit

I have given the code below how to pass the value of varialbe Count to that query . I have bolded the variable since idont know to pass. Help me regarding this

use $Count just like you would $VALUE

[prn]

Also, you probably want double quotes instead of single quotes:

...where name = "$COUNT";

Single quotes prevent the shell from interpreting the variable.
