Hi,
In Tkinter, how to convert canvas coordinates to window
coordinates? To convert window coordinates to canvas coordinates
we are using "canvasx, canvasy". But how to do vice-versa? Iam
using a canvas whose size is larger than screen size and drawn a
rectagnle in the middle of canvas. When i select the rectangle i
got its coordinates in terms of canvas coordinates. But i need it
in window coordinate. How can i do it?
With Regards,

Hello,
in an application I measure a lot of 2d coordinates (x,y) of a
pattern. This pattern consists of a set of points on grid with fixed
pitches in x and y direction. These coordinates all have a score for
quality and are sorted on this score. What I want to do is to sort
these coordinates first on x and define groups (regions) of
x-coordinates that belong together. After this step I want to sort the
different x-regions in y-regions.

Hello,
Using ECMA script within an SVG document i'm looking for
a way to display an overlay window (rectangle) that follows
the mouse cursor an shows some information.
It boils down to getting the coordinates of the mouse
cursor in the SVG document. While evt.clientX/Y will give
you the pixel coordinates relative to the topleft of the SVG
document, it does not, however, has the same scale or position

I'm trying to implement a custom TreeView that shows a ghost image while
dragging. But the form I'm using is different from the sample code found
here: http://www.codeproject.com/cs/miscctrl/TreeViewDragDrop.asp
The problem is I can't get the proper coordinates required when dragging
begins. I have two tree views in a panel with a splitter, and the panel is
on a TabControl.
The sample code just has a simple form with the treeview...

Hi All
I have textboxes within a TableLayoutpanel and I want to be able to position
an independant control adjacent to a selected textbox
This independent control allows selection of text to insert into the textbox
I am having trouble achieving this, see code below, the x position is too
far to the right and the y position is close to the bottom of the textbox
and I want it to be side by side.

Hi all,
I've got a bit of a challenge. I've got a script which displays the mouse coodinates if you click on an image. Now I would like to convert these coordinates to pixelnumber. Let me see if I can make it easier. Suppose we have an image which is 100px high and 100px wide.
The coordinates of the upper left corner would be x=0 and y=0
The coordinates of the upper right corner would be x=99 and y=0
The coordinates of the lower left...

keywords: logical coordinates, page coordinates, world coordinates,
device coordinates, physical coordinates, screen coordinates, client
coordinates. offset rectangle. WYSIWYG rubber rectangle problem,
bounded rectangle problem. PointToClient, PointToScreen
Beware this newbie trap for the unwary. It goes by various names (in
some old MFC literature I saw some of the keywords above). Whenever
doing comparisons between points,...

Hi....
I'm having difficulties with my codes to list coordinates (in my example codes is 4x4 pixel). I tried two different codes and the results are different.Basically, I tried to declare the sub coordinates for x and y, and then print it. But, if I make a change by declaring sub coordinates for x and print it, and the declare sub coordinate for y and print it, the results are different.
I have tried to calculated manually, the right...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
