JQuery Marquee if needed

Does anyone know or come across a way of getting JQuery to marquee text if it is too long for the area i have it in.

At the moment i have some text that is going onto two lines on my page, i want to try an marquee it if it is too long

Check the scrollWidth compared to the element's width. If it's greater, use any marquee plugin (perhaps making sure the markup is compatible with the plugin if required).
