I want to link to a particular place in another document.<a can be
used to link to another documents by giving the documentpath in
href,but how to link to a particular place in another document in HTML
or javascripts

You need to mention "particular-place" in two spots. First, you want to
show where "particular-place" is located in your target doc; then you
want to reference "particular-place" in any link to "particular-place,"
like this:

In path/to/your/document.html, just before "particular-place," code:

<a name="particular-place"></a>

Then anyplace where you want your link to jump to "particular-place,"
code:

<a href="path/to/your/document.html#particular-place">click here to
go to particular-place</a>
