Module level variables withing <%=%> tags...

I have an ASP.NET project wherein module-level functions are declared
and implemented within the aspx page <%= %> tags.

This was working fine before, but now that I have recreated the project
to re-organized my code base, I get the following:

Compiler Error Message: BC30451: Name 'module1' is not declared.

While Executing the following line:
<%= module1.tester( ) %>

The Module <i>is</is> in the root, although it shouldn't have to
be(right?). AND, I can call the "Tester" function fine from within
code-behind.

Please help. And thanks.

Hi, What I am trying to do: ======================= I need to form a table in html using the xsl but the table that is formed is quite long and cannot be viewed in our application. I am having trouble having Google Adsense code stored in XSL converted properly into HTML. The <> unfortunately become &lt; and &gt; and then no longer work. XSL code is: <script type="text/javascript"> <!]> </script> <script type="text/javascript"

I have a mixed-language pgm (Fortran and C++) which needs to pass a few hundred values from C++ to Fortran. One way to do this is to have a Fortran module and a C++ structure (or class) with an identical data layout. I have used this idea with no problem, but it necessitates making changes very carefully to the Fortran module and the C++ structure to keep them "in sync". I am looking for a program which translates source files between...

We have a multi-line textbox that users copy and paste email text into. The pasted text frequently will contain a tag like <blah@aol.com> or similar. I believe .NET is protecting itself from code injection by throwing a global error when this occurs. The exception message is pasted below. We will NOT be able to train our users to eliminate all <> tags. What's the best way to deal with this issue? Thanks in advance.

Hi All, I would like to be able to check whether there are any remaining plain text variables left in a word document after it has been built based on a template. At this stage, I roll through a recordset and replace any plain text variables using the following code: Set rs = db.OpenRecordset("SELECT * FROM tbl_Doc WHERE zDocID = '" & Me.cboTask & "' or zMakeAvailable = true;") Do Until rs.EOF

Been using the ODBC module for Python 2.1 (Win32) and had another question. When I return data from date columns, it's in a strange object form, e.g. <something or other> (don't have the output in front of me>. What's an easy way to convert date objects into a human-readable string? I'm using this module to extract data from an Oracle database, then converting it to a flat-file for import into an old flat-file database on a mainframe. I...

Hi, I have a query. All html tags start with < and end with >. Suppose i want to display either '<' or '>' or say some text like '<Company>' in html how do i do it? One method is to use &lt, &gt ,&ltCompany&gt to display '<', '>' and '<Company>' respectively. But is there any freeware code available which could implement the above functionality without having to use &gt,&lt and such stuff???

Since the include function is called from within a PHP script, why does the included file have to identify itself as a PHP again by enclosing its code in <?php... <?> One would assume that the PHP interpreter works like any other, that is, it first expands all the include files, and then parses the resulting text. Can anyone help with an explanation? Thanks, M. McDonnell

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
