I'm trying to display a GIF image in a label as the central area to a
Tkinter GUI. The image does not appear, though a space is made for it.
Why is this so?
I notice that I can display a GIF image in the central area of a simple
menu-bar app as shown below in the first code sample. But, when I set up my
app with a class, as shown below in the second code sample, the image
disappears.
How can I correct this? I'm sure the answer would...

Thanks to Yukka for improving my <h1> content and to Andy Dingley for
pointing out how illogical my code was. I have converted my nav buttons to a
list and eliminated the horrid spangap class of "|". The better index page
is http://www.TheBicyclingGuitarist.net/better-index.htm
How do I get rid of those black dots in front of the red nav buttons? I
don't want them to show up. Now that I am using list markup, is that
satisfactory for...

I'm making a date picker. It shows up fine. The problem is that I want it
to disappear if I click outside the calendar itself. However, if I click
*on* the calendar itself, it should not disappear, allowing me to click a
date or cycle through the months, etc.
Thanks for help.

Hi,
In Expand.c of BSD system, I met the following codes, the expression
(column & 07) if used to compare variable column and 7, if column<=7,
it returns true, else false. It use (column & 07) rather than
(column<=7), thus it brings me a question, does bit operation always
work more efficiently than math operation? How about plus without
carry? and minus without borrow?
I have searched through google web and newsgroups, haven't found any...

I guess this can be considered an HTML problem not PHP but im using it in php in the sense that the button clicked triggers the form to load and it has data that is...

Hi,
I have a web app that loads 2 scripts incrementally. The first one
handles authentication/login. If a user is authenticated, a second
script gets loaded by inserting a script tag in the header, and code
execution is transferred to that second script by means of a
setTimeout(globalReferenceToASecondScriptInitFunction), in that 2nd
script's InitFunction any remaining references to any data or variable
or function of the first script...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
