script works only in ie

Hi,
it should wave and change the messages.
It works under ie but not under konqueror, mozilla, netscape etc.
There is no error messages in the js console of those browsers.
What dhould be changed?

Its totally shocking to me that it doesn't show errors in the non-IE
browsers since 99% of your code is IE-only syntax/features.
