Based on your extensive feedback, PEP 322 has been completely revised.
The response was strongly positive, but almost everyone preferred
having a function instead of multiple object methods. The updated
proposal is at:
www.python.org/peps/pep-0322.html
In a nutshell, it proposes a builtin function that greatly simplifies reverse
iteration. The core concept is that clarity comes from specifying a
sequence in a forward direction and...

I have been getting on well with help from this forum trying to create an
array list and work with it. Everything is working fine apart from
displaying my array list items into the labels in my asp table.
The asp table has numerous rows and each row has a label item within it.
Im finding it impossible to get something to work which adds the newest item
in the array list to the next row in the asp table. the first time the
button is...

Basically I have a listbox to which I add simple STRING items- I have a
progress bar which I increment whenever I populate another portion of the
complete set of items I wish to add. What I observe is that as more and more
are added, population of the list box takes longer and longer. ie the first
10th of the item set are added much much quicker than the last 10th. THis
occurs with about 40,000 listbox items. My worry is the listbox may...

I know that we can add a single name value entry in app.config or
web.config in the configuration/configSettings/appSettings section like
so:
<add key="key" value="value" />
Question: I want to add a dictionary of name-value pairs. In other
words, instead of a single name-value, I want to add a name-value
collection in there. I could do this:

I was toying around with adding a new method to the Array class. It works
fine in FF but not in Safari. I have no idea in IE. I have not gotten that
far yet.
Array.prototype.find = function(item) { for(var i in this )
if( item == this(i) )
return( true )
return( false );
};

here's what i have to do:
Modify the Inventory Program so the application can handle multiple items. Use an array to store the items. The output should display the information one product at a time, including the item number, the name of the product, the number of units in stock, the price of each unit, and the value of the inventory of that product. In addition, the output should display the value of the entire inventory.
• Create a method...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
