Problems with preload/rollover

I am working on a website.
Can everybody have a look at www.intheloop.org.uk/sw5/index.html and
tell me:

1) How long do the buttons take to download. (state connection speed
too).

2) How do the rollover work. Especially concerning the image preload.

I am writing this because, I don't know why, on my Pc this site works
quite well using Netscape, whereas when I use Explorer or Aol the
rollover is very slow, and when moving to the adjacent button the
previous button takes too long to go back to the OnMouseOut image.

What is most strange, I have tried a friend's computer and an internet
cafe's one, and they don't seem to have this problem. I don't know
why I do, because I have a broadband connection. Yet there must be a
reason why, and there should be other people who would experience it
too.

Your help is most appreciated.

Buttons popped up in under a second on a 1.5mbps DSL connection, using
IBrowse 2.3 for Amiga, running on a 68060 cpu rated at 50mhz.
2) How do the rollover work. Especially concerning the image preload.
Honestly, they work great on my end...seriously , one of the smoothest sets
of rollovers my browser's seen...

Everything works great on my end, too. My first thought was that maybe you
don't force the page to preload all the images in the <HEAD> tag, but by
looking at your source code, you obviously ARE doing this. I'm guessing
the AOL connection is to blame...can you connect your computer to a
different provider and check?

Thank you for the info. I will try if I can set up a different
connection with different ISP. I was also concerned about 56k modem
users.

I'll try and let you know.

I found out the problem!

It was that I hadn't deleted the Temporary Internet Files fron IE for a
bit. As soon as I had done that it works smoothly to me too.

slow preload for IE
