Netscape doesn't understand "user's attributes", am I right!?

**** Post for FREE via your newsreader at post.usenet.com ****

When I try to use a created attribute for the tag "input", it works fine
with IE 6, but it seems not to be recognized by Netscape 7.1... Are my
thoughts right??

That's what I mean:
I did that in a html code:
<input type="text" name="inputname " required="true" >
(Note: I created the attribute "required")

So, through javascript, (in IE6) I can access it like this...
if (document.forms[0].inputname.requ erido == "true")
{ doSomething()
}
(it works just the way I expected)

got it??

With Netscape 7.1, this code doesn't work... Is that a way Netscape deals
with unkown attributes?

That's all...
"Valeu a atenção!" :)

I can't answer this question but I have 2 hints for you:
[...]
<input type="text" name="inputname " required="true" >
[...]
if (document.forms[0].inputname.requ erido == "true")
[...]

IE6 seems to be really multilanguage?? ;-)

This one is more serious:

var requiredfields = new Array("inputnam e1", "inputname2 ", "inputname3 ");
for(var i=0; i<requiredfield s.length; i++)
{ doSomething()
}

use
inputObject.get Attribute('requ ired')
that works with Netscape 6/7 and with IE

Is there any way for one Session to remove and update objects in another Session? I seriously doubt it, but thought I'd ask. Here's why: I have some data that is unique per user (or per session - similar to "welcome back, Jim" after Jim logs in) and consumed across multiple pages. This "per user" data lives in a database, so toward improving runtime performance I want to cache data supporting this and similar per user features. Because the...

Hi all This question is one of "theory" rather than a search for the specifics of a solution. I need some pointers as to how to proceed with my project. Here goes. My application allows the user to select from menu options. Some of the menus allow the user, via an options form, to select parameters for the display of reports. Those parameters will include things like the date range,

Hello, I need to communicate with a db2 database from a java program and this java program needs to check which "user tables" there are. I came up with the following query which I tried in Control Center: select tabname, tabschema from syscat.tables where tabschema != 'SYSCAT' and tabschema != 'SYSIBM' and tabschema != 'SYSIBMADM' and tabschema != 'SYSSTAT' and tabschema != 'SYSTOOLS'; It seems to work, it returns just the tables that I...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
