I was having permission problems, so I'm using a test file to make
sure uploading works.
upload.php successfully uploads a file to the images/bookcovers dir:
<html>
<form method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data" action="upload.php">
<input type="file" name="userfile">
<input type="submit" value="submit">

Hi There,
I have a PHP script that sends an email with attachment and works great when
provided the path to the file to send.
However this file needs to be on the same server as the script.
I want to develop a webpage where people can send attachments that are
stored on their local PC.

I have a simple webform where a user can upload images by using an input
element of type "file". In the a button's click event in the codebehind is
this code which saves the file to the server. Everything works OK. My
concern is how can I be sure the user is really uploading an image and not a
file with some malicious code in it. Also, can someone tell me what my
security concerns are here?
Here's the html:
<form id="Form1"...

I have created an IHttpHandler that waits for uploads as attachments for a
webmail interface, and saves it to a directory that is defined in
config.xml.
My question is the following:
assuming that this is suppossed to end up as a component for others to use,
and therefore I do NOT have access to their global.cs::Session_End()
how do I cleanup files that were uploaded -- but obviously left stranded
when the users aborted/gave up writting...

Hello.
I am trying to upload a file and save it in a Sql Server 2000 database. This
seems to be working fine. However, when I download the file from SQL Server,
it appears that the page that is downloading this file is being appended to
the end of the file. So I am accidently modifiying every file that is placed
in the database. What follows is my code for uploading and downloading a
file, minus the sql code to insert/retrieve the data...

I am creating an upload/download function for an extranet site. Files will
be uploaded to directory based upon the users login and associated project.
The function works as long as I use "c:\Temp" as the directory. When I use
any other hard coded directory or even Server.MapPath() the upload function
fails and returns the error: "Exception has been thrown by the target of an
invocation." Once I change the root directory to "c:\Temp",...

The basic purpose of the site is for authenticated users to post event
listings, which often include photographs. The user is faced with a page
where they can insert all of the information about the event in a typical
form with textboxes, drop down lists, etc. On this page there are also 4
file upload controls where the user can select 0 to 4 images on their file
system for inclusion in the event listing. On submit, the images (if any)...

I was hopeing someone could help me out here. Been stumped on this
one all day.
This function
1. Checks uploaded files.
2. Creates two resized images from each (a full size, and a
thumbnail).
3. Returns an array with a bool (false if the upload failed), and an
error message.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
