I need help with the code listed below. See the line below the comment-// *** This displays the error *** I want to be able to have the event handler call the function based on the reference that I pass to my objects member function. This works ok as long as I do not try to pass any arguments. How can I have the event call the function reference with variables? See addEventHandler( ) function below...

I had a need for a two dimentional array. Looking for this solution, I ran accross a statement than all Javascipt arrays were arrays of objects. So I created a function prototype, at least thats what I was calling it: function objRow(vartype, varaddr1, varaddr2) { this.type = vartype; this.addr1 =varaddr1; this.addr2 =varaddr2;

I've got a table with an entry type as "OLE Object" in Access 2003. In the form that the table is linked to I want to insert an image (BMP) for each record. However, when I attempt to do so the file is inserted and the filename (image.bmp) is inserted in the box with it taking up about half of the box. I didn't have this problem in Access XP. I've tried embedding and linking the file, but this always happens. Can anyone offer any...

Hi, I have a question about returning an object in a function and calling a copy constructor. As far as I understand, in the following code the copy constructor may or may not be called, depending on the compiler: A what() { A my_A; // do something with A.

Hi all, I am still in the process of lerning how to write decent C++ code. I will appreciate any good advice or corrections. I have two questions, a technical one and one for advice for how to design my code. 1. I have read somewhere (can't remember, must have been some tutorial page) that objects allocated on the heap can only be accessed through pointers. Thus, for example vector<int> * v_ptr = new vector<int>(100); Here v_ptr points to...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
